Ingredients
  

For the Oat Bar

  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1 cup All purpose Flour Substitute equal parts almond flour for a gluten free bar.
  • 1.5 cup Rolled Oats You will need Rolled Oats or Steel Cut Oats. Quick Oats wont work for this recipe.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp molasses if you don't have molasses, subsitite the white sugar for brown sugar. You could also use honey instead which will result in a slightly sweeter bar.
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon or apple spice
  • 1 tsp vanilla or maple extract optional

Walnut Filling

  • 1 cup finely ground walnuts
  • 2 egg whites
